Yellow Ceylon sapphire and diamond pendant. Set with an oval old cut natural unenhanced yellow Ceylon sapphire in an open back rubover setting with a weight of 2.39 carats, suspended from four cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back rubover settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.90 carats, to an elegant articulated pendant, flowing with movement, featuring millegrain edges, a decorative open gallery with pierced detail and open backholing, fitted to top to a fine trace chain, terminating in a secure push clasp with safety catch, pendant approximately 4.2cm in length, chain approximately 16.5 inches in length. Pendant tested yellow gold and platinum, chain tested as platinum, circa 1915, accompanied by Gemological Certificate Services report #5783-2085.
